Security model

Uploaded HTML is treated as untrusted code

A dashboard is someone else's JavaScript running in your users' browsers. Dashable assumes that from the start: every dashboard is quarantined on its own origin, and permissions live in the database rather than the interface.

Origin isolation: Each dashboard is served from its own subdomain, never from the app's origin — so its scripts cannot read your session or reach the app's DOM.
Content-Security-Policy: Served content runs under connect-src 'none', blocking outbound requests, with framing restricted to the app and no access to cookies.
Row-level security: Tenant isolation is enforced by Postgres row-level security, tested against cross-tenant reads — not by application filters alone.
Audit trail: Views, permission changes, uploads, and billing events are written to an append-only log that clients cannot forge or delete.
